I highly recommend the Tisch Children's Zoo, a section of the Central Park Zoo which is geared toward toddlers and young children. They have goats, llamas, potbellied pigs, sheep, and more that you can feed and pet, plus a climbing net, puppet shows, and lots of fun things to see and touch. It is perfect for the 5-and-under crowd. Good tip - the line for the Tisch is often shorter than the line for the main part of the Central Park Zoo, but the tickets are the same. So if you are headed to the main part of Central Park Zoo and the line is long, to save some time, get your tickets at the Tisch kiosk and then skip the ticket line for the main zoo.
